Key Responsibilities:
Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and scraping
Apply coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
Operate and maintain powertools such as grinders, sanders, and drills
Perform maintenance tasks on ships and boats, including repairing damaged areas and replacing equipment
Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget
Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used
Ensure the proper disposal of hazardous materials
Power-tool decking with needlegun, grinder and deck crawler
Qualifications & Experience
1 Year previous experience as a painter or powertooler preferred
Knowledge of painting techniques and types of paint
Ability to operate powertools and perform maintenance tasks
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team
Good communication skills
Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in outdoor environments
Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting and carrying heavy equipment and materials
