Job Description
Your Team
As a member of Avaloq's global design team you will become a part of a talented and highly motivated group of designers, product managers, product owners, and engineers that are responsible for shaping Avaloq's product offering. You will play an integral role in this process by ensuring a design driven and human centered innovation and development approach leading to solutions that re-envisage our users' financial experience.
Your mission
Contribute to roadmapping the design system's evolution with designers and product managers
See the bigger picture of the design system, understand the needs of the system users and how it serves the organization, for example by anticipating potential use cases and evolutions
Closely work with engineers to design, develop and maintain high quality components as well as document the system
Align components and UI into a coherent theme, including all aspects of UI such as weight, color, spacing, and typographic styles
Collaborate with design and product development teams to ensure adoption of the design system as well as alignment across experiences and products
Qualifications
What you need
5 years minimum design experience as an individual contributor, with a proven track record of building or contributing to design systems
Bachelor degree or higher in design, human computer interaction or related field, or equivalent practical experience
Great communication and presentation skills with a proven ability to tell the story of your work to product managers, fellow designers, and other stakeholders
A strong design process, demonstrating clear insights, problem solving and enabling simple solutions with an excellent sense of typography, layout, and general design principles
Proficiency in design tools like Figma and a good understanding of front-end coding languages
