In this role, you will work in our team environment to coordinate and execute audits, reviews, compilations, agreed-upon procedures and special projects.
As a Senior Accountant on our Audit and Accounting team, you will:
Provide a full range of professional accounting and auditing services including auditing, review, and compilation services to a variety of industries
Supervise the day-to-day activities of audit and review engagements, monitoring and training staff accountants assigned to the engagement
Communicate any accounting or auditing matters that arise during those engagements to the management team
Core strengths for this role, include: strong organizational skills, communication skills, strong problem solving and critical thinking skills, a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and the professional standards. We focus heavily on preparation, planning and communication - you'll also work closely with the engagement team's management group to develop the procedures to be performed as well as identify the roles and responsibilities and assist in establishing expectations and deadlines. Our clientele covers a variety of industries including manufacturing, distribution, construction, healthcare, professional services, nonprofits and employee benefit plans.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting with Masters' degree as a plus
CPA preferred (or international equivalent)
3+ years recent experience in public accounting, specifically within audit and assurance
Strong written and verbal communications skills - in English
Ideally, experience with the following software:
CCH ProSystem fx Engagement
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Willing to observe US Eastern Time working hours
