JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support Group Tax with global tax compliance and general tax consultancy projects where needed.
Supporting our US Tax team with analysis including, for example, state appointment, fixed assets and NOLS
Assisting with the preparation of federal and state tax workbooks and supporting the US team with preparation of the overall tax returns.
Assisting with compliance processes, for example, tracking key metrics across Pearson, e.g. Tax Audits.
Support Group Tax with analysis of key data and trends
Support Group Tax with processes related to Tax and Cash Tax forecasting
Assisting the US tax team with submission of SUT returns, and review and reconciliation of associated GL accounts.
Working with our US tax team in support of SUT audits and provision of information to state tax authorities.
Review of sales and purchases invoices, and perform high level data analytics alongside AR and AP teams based in Manila, to ensure we are accurately charging SUT
COMPETENCY PROFILE:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
Preferably Experienced Employees specializing in Finance - Audit/Taxation or equivalent.
Finance/Enterprise Resource Planning systems experience (Oracle would be an advantage, but not required).
Strong Excel experience, with data analytical skills an advantage.
Previous experience in handling US Tax would be an advantage but is not required.
Qualified accountant, or other strong accounting experience/background.
Interest in developing tax expertise and building a tax support function in Manila.

Self-motivated and able to carry through varied projects to a satisfactory conclusion.
Must be willing to work on a night shift schedule.
