Role Overview Broadridge Trading and Connectivity Solutions (BTCS), an innovator and leading provider of financial software, is seeking a senior software developer. We are looking for an experienced senior software developer to join the BTCS development team. BTCS business provides software and services to thousands of financial service companies. We are looking for an individual with extensive experience with large datasets. Someone who can help structure data from across the organization, cleanse the data, create extracts of data based on needs, and create applications and utilities to report and display data which enable the business to have more transparency. Your Profile Bachelors or equivalent degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or a related field Fluency in English 5 years experience with large data sets/data warehouses and extracting, loading, and transforming data 5 years in depth experience with databases, database applications, and data analytics Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL Server, or similar database experience Extensive SQL experience Java development experience Committed, self-motivated, and fast learner Excellent communication skills Proactive, independent, and proven ability to work under pressure Good to Have Financial services industry experience Experience with the FIX protocol Experience with databases for data warehousing and analytical processing of large data sets Experience with cloud-based databases for data warehousing: Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Microsoft Azure SQL, etc. Python, Perl, or R development experience Linux experience Shell scripting experience Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools: Tableau, Apache Superset, Google Charts, Amazon QuickSight, D3, ggplot2, etc. Experience with data compute tools for large data sets: MapReduce, Hadoop, Spark, Hive, etc. Experience with data stream processing tools: Kafka, Storm, Flink, etc. Agile development practices experience Broadridge Financial Solutions (NYSE: BR), a global Fintech leader with $5 billion in revenues, provides the critical infrastructure that powers investing, corporate governance, and communications to enable better financial lives.
