Xendit is a fintech company that provides payment infrastructure across South-east Asia. Xendit processes payments, runs marketplaces, disburses payroll and loans, detects fraud, and helps other businesses grow exponentially. We serve these companies by providing a suite of world-class APIs and a dashboard UI that simplifies processes.
Our main focus is to build the most advanced payment rails, with a clear goal in mind - to make payments in South-east Asia simple, secure, and easy for everyone. We currently serve SMEs to some of the region's largest tech startups and also giant-sized businesses like Samsung. We process millions of transactions monthly, growing 8% month on month for the last 3 years. We are trusted and backed by some of the largest VCs in the world, who invested in Facebook, Slack, Twitch and Grab, and are alumni of the prestigious YCombinator (S15).
Mission
Our team provides businesses across regions (such as ) a seamless experience to accept money. We are in a rare position to refine the money collection experience to accelerate the growth of businesses where they don't need to worry about figuring out a way to collect money at scale.
We're looking for a software engineer that is open to explore and adopt new and reliable technologies to solve customer problems and make Xendit succeed. We aim to provide the most secure and reliable APIs in South East Asia through reducing technical debts, minimizing customer issues, and increasing product reliability.
Responsibilities
Understand customer needs and requirements, prioritize builds and technical roadmap
Collaborate with the Tech Lead, Product Manager, and other engineers to account for the delivery of technical roadmap items on time
Design and develop APIs, libraries, and tools to support business requirements for the long term
Produce high-quality maintainable & testable code
Drive infrastructure improvements that scale us from millions of monthly transactions to tens of millions of monthly transactions
Deliver products with standardized security, reliability, and stability
Work closely with banks, partners to scale up our product coverage and reliability
Do whatever it takes to make Xendit succeed
You may be a good fit if
1+ years of experience in developing, designing, and deploying large scale applications
Experience in Node.js (Javascript, Typescript) or Golang as a programming language
Experience in Postgres
Experience in web services (RESTful/gRPC)
Familiarity with microservices (such as pub-sub design pattern)
Experience in building unit, integration, and E2E test
You believe in clean coding, simple solutions, automated testing, and continuous deployment

Believe in end-to-end ownership of projects
Communicate well across teams
It would be amazing if you also have
Familiarity with containerization technologies, including Docker, Terraform, and Kubernetes
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure
Familiarity with observability and operational technologies (such as Datadog and Pagerduty)
