Several Content Engineering teams at FactSet are currently individually responsible for acquisition of financial content, parsing and storage layers and the client-facing application APIs.
We are looking to build generic tooling for the above responsibilities, as well as custom solutions where generic tooling is not possible.
We are looking for a strong software engineer to help build the different parts of this tooling (also known as the content pipeline).
Initial focus is on the acquisition part. Sources of data will include FTP, websites, emails as well as APIs. Data will be stored in a central Data Lake built on AWS. Monitoring tools/processes will also be built for feed health and operational work.
Ideally candidates should have good knowledge of ETL scripting (python preferred) and various DB solutions, as well as experience dealing with large volumes of data of wide variety of formats.
Any tooling with UIs will be preferred with Vue.js and C# for backing webservices.
After the Acquisition phase is completed we expect this candidate and team to be also developing other parts of the content pipeline.
