Job Description
We are in need of an exceptional Senior Software Engineer to join our rapidly growing in-house Technology team. As a capable, motivated self-starter, you will hit the ground running with your outstanding Azure development skills, enabling system integration and automation and contribute to the Azure engineering practice of the company going forward.
This role will be joining our Operations squad and will be working on initiatives critical to the business.
As part of this role you will:
Be responsible for developing and maintaining integration solutions, including REST APIs, Event Driven/Queue based integrations and service orchestrations.
Be accountable for the code quality, deployment and delivery of all the work in the squad
Collaborate with the cross-functional squad to ensure that all requirements are fully understood and the delivered work will meet the desired business outcomes
Ensure data integrity and security in accordance with the organisation policies
Engage in Agile software development activities including team sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
Help the squad establish development standards and practices across engineering, quality and release management
Manage technical support documentation including formal specifications and sample code/applications
Drive continuous improvement in development standards and practices, quality and release management
Qualifications
We would love to hear from Senior Software Engineer who:
Have a deep understanding of Azure integration technologies and can demonstrate proven experience projects that are operational and supporting the business
Be comfortable supporting and monitoring Azure integration solutions that are operational for the business including experience troubleshooting performance or security concerns
Have a good overall understanding of Azure hosting infrastructure
Be comfortable working in a small, cross-functional development team using Agile delivery
Have the ability to write high-quality and well-documented code, adhering to best practices at all times.
Technical skills required to best perform in the role:
5+ years experience working in an engineering role
2+ years experience working with Azure integration technologies, including Azure Functions, Event Grid, Event Service Bus, Logic Apps & Power Automate, SQL
1+ year experience leading/mentoring engineers
Professional Microsoft training and/or certification preferred
Experience in Javascript, NodeJS, Typescript or similar engineering languages
Leveraging Standards JSON and XML including schema and service description standards like XSD, WSDL, JSON Schema and Open API
Extensive experience implementing branching and merging strategies, code review and release management in GIT
Experience applying enterprise integration patterns using SOA, API's, Microservices, message-based, and file-based approaches
Experience working with an automation testing framework a plus
