This role is responsible for executing the strategy, management, and control of sales operations and processes for the Electric Cooperative and Distribution Utilities sales market that will drive enhanced revenue generation. The position is expected to work closely with the Commercial Operations team in order to support competitive analysis, customer segmentation, product identification, and development, and enhance the company's unique value proposition. The position is also responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with external partners and key customers, and ensuring a high level of customer service to all AP customers. Lastly, the position is expected to train, develop, amd motivate the sales team of the company.
Responsibilities of this position include the ff:
Conceptualizes and executes the opportunity management and customer acquisition strategy and processes for the target market
Oversees activities related to territory planning and the prioritization of leads in order to achieve sales targets
Maximizes revenue and profitability by balancing the mix of customers
Represents the company in industry associations in order to build key relationships and sources and develops leads
Negotiates contract terms and conditions with key customers in support of their contracting decision
Ensures Power Supply Agreements are implemented and enforced according to company guidelines and standards
Oversees the design and execution of a collections strategy and the resolution collection issues and overdue receivables
Oversees the activities involved in communicating the value that the company provides to the customer's business
Oversees the onboarding and training of sales team members to ensure they acquire and develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviors to be effective in their roles
At least 10 years experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the power industry
With at least 5 years experience in a leadership role
Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Engineering, Finance, Business Management, or any 4-year related course
Master's degree, an advantage
Strong analytical and planning skills;
Good communication and presentation skills;
Excellent problem-solving skills;
Strong negotiation skills
