JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Responsible for company purchasing policies and procedures, and assist in maintaining supply inventory levels required for effective company operation.
Responsible for conducting regular price comparisons to ensure that the company is always getting the best price for product that is purchased.
Essential Responsibilities:
Will work as a Team Leader
Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs
Research potential vendors/suppliers
Track orders and ensure timely delivery
Conduct market research to identify pricing trends
Manage purchase orders, overseeing shipping schedules and maintaining purchase records
Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices
Maintain updated records of invoices and contracts
Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
Working with inventory staff to compare deliveries with purchase orders to identify discrepancies
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree.
Degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration preferred.
Minimum of 4 or 5 years experience as a Purchaser or Senior Purchaser in Food and Beverage Industry.
Experience using procurement software and databases.
