Senior Project AccountantVertiv (formerly Emerson Network Power)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Handle transaction processing such as customer invoices, revenue recognition, credit notes, debit notes.
• Review profitability of projects and analyze variances between actual and budgeted revenue costs.
• Manual accounting (percentage of completion) POC of the project and consolidation of IMS and Retrofit sites.
• Handle review & closing of projects & coordinate with various teams for resolution of issues.
• Review and analyze project WIP balances, validated PPV, freight, duties & material overhead.
• Investigate and address the need to reopen projects to ensure zero impact to P&L.
• Project Accounting Monthly recording/analysis of project GPs/Backlog Margin Analysis
• Accounts Receivable (CN/DN)/SG-PH Project Transactions
• Assist in monitoring Sales/Orders and BGs & other Finance adhoc tasks Monthly Transactional
• Prepare set of monthly financial reports which includes GP bridge analysis, SG&A and project financials.
• Participate in the month-end close of Account receivable and Project accounting modules.
• Identify & propose corresponding adjustments resulting from reconciliation and analysis of various balance sheet accounts such as accounts receivable, work in progress, unbilled and earned revenue.
• Prepare monthly backlog margin report as support for forecast numbers.
• Assist in weekly chase list and backlog review with Sales.
• Ensure compliance to all external and internal audit requirements.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be a graduate of BS Accountancy, CPA is a must.
• Should have at least 10 years of general accounting, cost & project accounting experience.
• Must be proficient in Oracle Accounting/Financial systems.
• Should have an advance knowledged in Excel
• Must be highly analytical, with sense of urgency, organized and client centric.
• Should be very good in mult-tasking and must be able to adapt well in a high pressured environment.
