Duties and Responsibilities:
• Integration and development of existing user-facing elements and user experiences
• Design for extensible and scalable multi-threaded solutions which will optimize the resource utilization, performance, and supportability of the Platform
• Help drive the definition of PHP (CodeIgniter Web Framework) and JavaScript frameworks to support new features and refactor legacy elements
• Research and implement evolving PHP, JavaScript, MySQL and UI
• Framework trends and technologies for possible adoption
• Investigate and leverage 3rd party API's for use in product (e.g. Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, other custom API's)
Qualifications and Experience:
• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related
• 5-6 years of recent production quality PHP product development experience
• Expert knowledge of PHP web frameworks such as Laravel, CodeIgniter, Yii, and similar
• API integration experience
• Experience in reading technical documents and code
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON
• Experience with back-end development
• Experience developing and maintaining complex web architectures leveraging object oriented PHP and JavaScript
• Experience configuring and tweaking Apache, Node.JS, and Nginx servers
• Experience with integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools
• Experience Stakeholder management
• Knowledge on Project Management framework
• Experience on packaging and deploy the solution
• Honest and open communication
• Tech Savvy
• Has accountability, proactive and able to offer suggestions and solutions
• Solution Centric and a Team Player
• Able to make exceptional choices and go above and beyond
• Disaster recovery type background and server knowledge would be an advantage
• AWS / Amazon Web Services experience would be nice to have
