RESPONSIBILITIES:
All payroll activities including all government mandated benefits and deductions.
Maintenance and review of team members entitlements such as, but not limited to sick leave, annual leave and long service leave records.
Prepare monthly payroll reconciliations, journals and other payroll reports.
Handle team members payroll queries and requests as and when they arise.
Attend to remittance of monthly government mandated contributions and payroll taxes.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and statutory requirements in each country.
Comply and keep up to date with the company's behaviour and business values and practices and with all applicable laws, regulations and standards.
Encourage a team-based work environment that leverages the expertise and knowledge of the team and nurtures a climate of collaboration, care and trust.
Act in the best interest of the company at all times.
Act at all times in accordance with the Code of Conduct.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree in Accounting (preferred)
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant Business, Human Resources or Accounting field.
At least 8 years' experience working in Payroll role.
At least 4 years of exposure to Global Payroll processing is required (New Zealand, Australia, EMEA).
Experience in processing payroll on Payroll software solutions is an advantage.
A solid understanding of payroll processing procedures.
Skilled reconciliation and ability to accurately enter data.
Pro-active, goal-oriented with excellent attention to detail.
Excellent internal customer focus and able to consistently meet the company's needs.
Effectively manages change to work tasks and the work environment and assists others with adapting to change.
Demonstrates high level of integrity, trustworthiness and consistently honours one's commitments.
Able to identify issues, problems and opportunities; make timely decisions; develop appropriate and innovative solutions; and ask for assistance if required.
Sound verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey information and ideas to individuals and groups.
Demonstrates initiative and a willingness to learn and continuously improve on performance.
Able to work effectively in a small team, including sharing and transfer of knowledge within the team.
