Your future team
Atlassian is looking for a passionate Senior Payroll Accountant to join our Global Payroll Team. You are a good fit for this role if you have excellent communication skills, are creative, detail-oriented, and have a customer-focused mindset.

What you'll do
Responsible for payroll related month-end activities including journals, account reconciliations, and other accounting operations
Document and maintain payroll accounting procedures according to US GAAP
Research and interpret IFRS and US GAAP for new payroll initiatives and non-standard payroll transactions
Help provide basic accounting education for the Payroll Operations team,
Work on global payroll automation projects to lead process improvements
Partner with other Accounting teams on projects, financial audits, and financial reporting
Assist Global Payroll Compliance team with audits
Help with ad-hoc Global Payroll projects (e.g. M&A, global and/or regional benefit programs and etc.)
You will be reporting to the Head of Global Payroll and be part of a collaborative Global Payroll team
