US Payroll Specialist | Home Health | Paylocity Required (Work From Home)
 
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced US Payroll Specialist to manage payroll for a growing Home Health organization.
 
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience processing US payroll for 100+ employees, understands California payroll requirements, and has strong experience using Paylocity. Experience with Kinnser/WellSky or similar Home Health EMR systems is highly preferred.
 
You will work closely with HR, Finance, Scheduling, and Clinical Operations to ensure accurate and timely payroll for clinical and non-clinical employees.
 
Key Responsibilities
Process accurate bi-weekly payroll for clinical and non-clinical employees.
Review timecards, visit-based payroll, mileage, PTO, sick leave, overtime, and other payroll data.
Process payroll adjustments, bonuses, retroactive pay, deductions, garnishments, and final paychecks.
Ensure compliance with California payroll and wage requirements.
Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies before submission.
Support payroll onboarding, employee changes, and terminations.
Respond to employee payroll concerns and resolve issues promptly.
Generate payroll, labor cost, PTO, and overtime reports.
Assist with audits, workers' compensation reporting, and year-end payroll activities.
Reconcile third-party contractor invoices.
Maintain confidentiality and accurate payroll records.
Required Qualifications
At least 2 years of hands-on US payroll experience.
Experience processing payroll for 100+ employees.
Strong hands-on Paylocity experience is required.
Experience with California payroll, including overtime, PTO, sick leave, and final paycheck requirements.
Strong Excel and data reconciliation skills.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities in a remote work environment.
Strong communication skills and ability to handle confidential information.
Highly Preferred Qualifications
Home Health or Hospice experience.
Experience with Kinnser/WellSky or similar EMR systems.
Experience with healthcare or clinical payroll.
Familiarity with visit-based, per diem, or productivity-based payroll.
Experience with mileage reimbursements, HRIS, timekeeping, and healthcare staffing.
