Unique opportunity to recruit and manage a new team of web UX, design and optimization experts. This position will have ultimate responsibility for the user experience, design and conversion rate performance of 8x8.com. As a champion of fundamentally sound UX, you are already extraordinary at turning performance data into actionable insights. You will partner with stakeholders and web strategy to identify opportunities and ensure that they are designed, tested and executed with an uncompromising eye toward elevating value while simplifying interactions. As a member of the brand team, you are also responsible for ensuring that interactions and visual presentation of 8x8.com serve to elevate and are aligned with brand initiatives. Responsibilities
Research and define initiatives to improve web user journey and digital experience
Build and manage a team of web UX and design talent
Optimize workflows for the team, to drive productivity and efficiency
Conduct customer research and convert data into ideas and presentations that will help prioritize major initiatives
Direct responsibility for all outputs of the team, including industry audits, wireframes, designs, annotated specifications and user validation scripts.
Build an A/B testing and personalization strategy to guide optimization team roadmap efficiently
Work closely with Marketing, Product and Developer teams to deliver on projects which support business KPIs
Communicate requirements to developers; passionate about designing elegant solutions for complex problems
Present designs to the engineering team, and stakeholders for review and feedback
Process oriented and detailed when it comes to execution, but nimble and flexible to change course as needed
Qualifications
8+ years of professional experience as a web user experience designer, with at least 2 years managing teams responsible for same.
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent related professional experience
Experience building positive relationships with engineering, design, and project management counterparts
Effective interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; ability to defend your recommendations analytically
Excellent organization skills and the ability to manage multiple high-profile projects in a dynamic organization
Solid systems thinking, visual UI design skills, a specialist in HCI methodologies and web usability principles
Capacity for creating intuitive designs and layouts with a propensity towards simplification and minimalism
Proficient with Figma, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator, CSS/HTML
Experience with: JavaScript, working within a CMS, or a distributed team, including offshore, is a plus
Have an online portfolio that illustrates a holistic user experience skill set (please provide a link to your portfolio and passwords, where relevant)
Able to provide at least 2 hours of work day overlap with US East Coast
