Job Description:
Responsibilities: The person selected for this position will assist the federal Biodetection Director of Field Operations (DFO) with managing the day-to-day operations. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant contribution to the defense of the Nation in a new and developing office.
This position will be located on a client site. Finalists must be able to pass a DHS Suitability Check and Secret Clearance.
Responsible for executing complex in-depth WMD threat analysis to produce products (papers, presentations and reports) to inform senior DHS leadership, DHS Components and other federal, state and local homeland security customers for the purposes of:
Identifying and understanding WMD Homeland threats and providing recommendations to respond to, mitigate and disrupt such threats.
Serve as production or overall author for individual reports and projects.
Responsible for supporting customer efforts developing and fostering relationships to facilitate coordination and collaboration with DHS and other USG/Intelligence Community partners at the analyst level.
Processes used to analyze open source information and classified intelligence, furnished by the Government, concerning designated functional or regional areas to support advanced analytics and requirements development.
Analyze processes that support deliberate, operational, contingency, and crisis action planning while prioritizing intelligence in support of the CWMD mission.
Employ and evaluate advanced analytic and geospatial software to support in-depth CWMD analysis.
Monitor and report on CWMD activity status and critical information requirements.
Support population and meta-tagging of structured data fields.
Review open source information and classified intelligence, furnished by the Government, concerning designated functional or regional areas.
Identify and prioritize reviewed information that meets standing intelligence requirements.
Requested, deliver intelligence briefings and respond in detail to leadership questions arising from the briefings.
Analyze and comment on prioritized intelligence, describing the significance of each item to the Countering WMD mission and shall deliver this analysis in the form of written reports, briefing slides, geospatial products and/or oral presentations to senior leaders and decision makers.
Exchange data and information with military and federal organizations (Office of the Secretary of Defense, Department of Energy, Department of State, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Department of Homeland Security, National Guard Bureau, and other organizations that the Government deems has a need to know).
Track requests for information (RFI) and requests for assistance (RFA).
Develop and refine CWMD intelligence operations tactics, techniques, and procedures; as well as evaluate and adapt emerging technology for incorporation into global WMD assessment and WMD intelligence exploitation operations.
Create written products and briefings with a strategic view of the issue; they shall provide a strategic context for the situation/issue.
Provide tailored analysis, assessments, reports, and other products as requested by the Government.
Advise and assist the Government in drafting, coordinating, presenting and disseminating of CWMD intelligence collection requirements.
Review existing collections requirements and update where necessary prior to building new requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
Master's degree in a relevant field
Ability to obtain high-level clearance and DHS suitability clearance
10+ years experience in intelligence analysis
Must possess a strong base of experience and depth of skills in intelligence systems and tools and have relevant experience in national, command, or law enforcement intelligence.
Desired Qualifications:
Previous experience with CBRN/WMD-related intelligence preferred.
