An interesting hybrid opportunity has arisen that would allow the successful applicant to join a start-up to help deliver the software platform for a new digital asset securities exchange; focused on an institutional client base. The ideal applicant will bring previous experience of building scalable mission critical systems in the cloud.
This role is varied. We are seeking someone with a general all-round skill set that is used to simply getting stuck in.
Effectively this role would suit a systems admin with dev-ops experience. If you've worked in small/medium firms on all sorts of technology/systems over -5 years this is the role for you. This will be a varied role that will see you juggling multiple projects/issues/systems in a rapidly evolving/growing firm.
Job Qualifications
Skills
Experience administrating Linux and Windows operating systems
General sys admin skills - AV, monitoring tools, PBXs, firewalls, routers, switches, desktops... etc.
Experience in deployment automation, monitoring and maintaining cloud infrastructure (AWS)
Experience with containerisation tools
Understanding of the "infrastructure as code" paradigm
Basic Scripting experience (Linux, PowerShell)
Knowledge of penetration testing, stress testing and performance testing
Firm understanding of Security principles and their implementation in day to day activities.
Understanding you will be working in a start-up and you will have to support anything with a "plug"
Desirable
Experience troubleshooting desktop applications on Windows
Experience with AWS CloudFormation
Experience in finance with real time trading systems/market data
Experience in working in a regulated financial firm
