About The Specialty
The Design Specialty in Manila strives to be the best design company in the world. That starts with hiring the best people and best designers to support the different teams in Canva.
Growth Marketing is a team supported by the Brand Creative subspecialty of the Design Specialty. The team is also under the Marketing & Engagement group. Growth Marketing ensures that internal and external communications are on-brand and helps provide design support across marketing teams.
The Marketing & Engagement Group's mission is for Canva "to become the most-loved brand in the world". We are scaling our team, budgets and operations to drive brand awareness and growth in our 100+ markets around the globe. Marketing is still new as a function at Canva, and so we're building a lot of our structures, cadences, budgets, processes and systems from the ground up.

About The Role
You'll work as part of our Growth Creative team, supporting the Lifecycle team. This role will cover a wide range of creative responsibilities from ideation, storyboarding, layout and art direction.
You will be in a vibrant and friendly creative studio, producing engaging ad creatives for various Lifecycle Marketing efforts. You'll have the opportunity to participate in defining how Lifecycle marketing looks at Canva, delivering a wide variety of creative campaigns for our Lifecycle channels such as emails, push messages and in-app messages.
What you'll do:
Design static and gif email and mobile messaging creatives - Partner with our growth marketers for Lifecycle campaigns on emails, push notifications and in-app messages.
Come up with creative experiments - Partner with growth marketers when it comes to conducting experiments on designs and layout on how to drive engagement and trial conversions.
Localise static and gif email and mobile messaging creatives for our Lifecycle channels.
Crafting customized decks for different initiatives of Lifecycle Marketing
About you:
2-4 years experience as a graphic designer, crafting a diverse range of advertising and digital marketing campaigns.
A portfolio that demonstrates experience in designing and illustrating for email including in-app components, and an outstanding understanding of email marketing campaigns and product feature visualization
Excellent visual communication skills. Strong foundation in layout, typography and color theory. Background in User Experience / User Interface a bonus!
Advanced knowledge in Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator. Basic skills in After Effects a bonus!
The confidence to try new things, and a passion for big ideas and storytelling
Good communication skills to collaborate with remote creative teams, partner agencies and be able to sell ideas during creative brainstorms.
The ability to work collaboratively in a creative team environment
Diligence to hit deadlines, and offer suggestions to streamline and improve team processes.
Comfortable with chaos. You can find solutions even without perfect precedents or direction, and map out a path to clarity and execution. You can work out ways to achieve the impossible and ride through change like a boss.
