Accounting team members ensure that RingCentral's processes and systems are optimized for growth and change. As an active business partner, you will play a critical role in the FP&A process and have the opportunity to contribute to global teams across all finance areas.
We are looking for a high-energy, hands-on individual that can work in a collaborative and independent setting. The Senior Accountant will be directly involved with financial reporting, month-end close, day to day general ledger accounting, and will function with the Company's external auditors. He/ She encourages to exhibit the highest professional standards and attention to detail while working on numerous routine and ad hoc accounting support functions. Other valued attributes that we are seeking are a strong work ethic and consistent performance with a sense of urgency and dedication.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Active involvement in establishing and maintaining an efficient and accurate accounting month-end close cycle.
• Maintain General Ledger including sub-ledgers and/or related supporting schedules.
• Perform monthly closing processes including posting journal entries and account reconciliations for prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and accrued liability accounts.
• Work with the international accounting team and support the accounting close process for international subsidiaries.
• Aid in the preparation of fluctuation analyses and perform financial statements analytics, providing relevant explanations for fluctuations.
• Participation in projects relating to process improvement both from a business standpoint and system-related.
• Support external audits and reviews by providing period over period fluctuation analysis, supporting schedules, account reconciliations, pulling selections, and working with external auditors as required.
• Assist in the implementation and documentation of internal control processes and related procedures. Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements.
• Perform duties as assigned.
Essentials:
• Confirmed experience in US General Accounting and General Ledger
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced working environment
• Experience in working with major ERP systems.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Proven verbal and written communication skills with all levels of management.
• Can effectively communicate sophisticated information in a clear and concise manner.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or related field and/or a minimum of 7 years' relevant experience in accounting or finance.
• Capability to work with IT / Business Service team directly for process improvement projects
• Prioritize multiple projects while also meeting goals and cut off dates.
• Strong problem solving, planning, quality control, flexibility, and customer service skills
• Amenable to work on US hours (e.g. 11pm to 8am, Monday to Friday MNL)
Nice-To-Have:
• CPA license
• NetSuite experience
• Worked at an IT / UCaaS/ SaaS company
• Preferably has experience in a high-tech company
