The Finance Senior Control Accountant will assist the Financial Control Manager of accounting and financial control function of the business, ensuring compliance with the company reporting standards and as local region accounting regulations. Liaise with the local Finance team and transactional processing functions outsourced partners.
Responsible for fulfillment of Record to Report, Source to Pay, Tax, Treasury, and Statutory Accounting activities. Liaise effectively and efficiently with transactional processing functions of IBM and GT.
Main point of contact to all internal and external account creation, maintenance, and liaison on Finance system-related matter - Basware, Incharge, AMEX, bank/token, government-related portals
Prepares monthly close process, review of the accounts payable, accounts receivable, general accounting, and other transactional processing functions outsourced partners.
Responsible for Vendor creation, maintenance, and payment.
Responsible for all Treasury Management of bank deposit in cash and cheque.
Ensures Balance Sheet reconciliations are completed on a timely basis and regular balance sheet reviews are held with local management.
Responsibility for the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting in accordance with business policies and practices including monthly and annual financial management reporting and KPIs.
Support preparation and delivery of local statutory and tax accounts on time and accurately.
Point of contact for internal and external auditors and other professional advisors, ensuring all information is provided on a timely basis and that control reports are actioned.
Consistent and extensive collaboration within the finance team and across global stakeholders in the business.
Responsible for forecasting and monitoring actuals, specific to Operating Expense, put together and present the deliverables including variance analysis to senior management.
Qualifications
COMPETENCY PROFILE:
5 years of sound knowledge and experience in Financial Control and Accounting with FP&A is a plus.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, CPA
Ability to analyze and assess the adequacy of internal controls and opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
Experience in identifying, evaluating, and managing risk and collaborating to drive issue resolution in partnership with internal and external key stakeholders.
Ability to work globally and cross-functionally to influence change in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to determine when to escalate to the manager and identify the right stakeholders for decision making with a sense of urgency and priority to follow through.
Team-oriented individual and self-starter who excels at learning new processes and business functions.
Demonstrated integrity within a professional environment.
Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills with a strong ability to clearly communicate and present information to all levels of management.
Fluent in English.
