POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Developer position is responsible for producing high-quality source code in support of the business needs defined.
Developers work closely with the Business analyst and Tester roles to ensure the code being produced is of high quality and meets the business's functional and non-functional requirements.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

New ways of working
Participate in quarterly planning, release, and sprint planning to plan and manage the development team's activities in support of the business systems roadmap.
Track process against sprint goals with reporting and in sprint retrospective meetings.
Technical Design
Work with Business analysts to understand / develop requirements to a stage where technical designs can be derived.
Produce technical design documentation where appropriate for modules being developed.
Ensure technical designs are reviewed by peers before commencing with development works.
Day to day coding
Produce source code for module development as directed by your manager
Ensure coding development meets quality standards.
Ensure coding development meets technical standards.
Ensure coding development meets business requirements and project time frames.
Work closely with Testers and Business analysts to develop and fully test your code solutions.
General
Work to all (reasonable) deadlines as prescribed by your manager.
Perform any general tasks as directed by your manager
Requirements
Mandatory
5+ years' experience as a Developer or similar working within a software development team.
2+ years' experience working with Agile or similar development methodologies.
Strong experience in working with PHP 7+, Node.js, TypeScript.
Strong experience in working with Laravel, Express, React.
Experience in working with cloud technologies: AWS, Azure, GCP.
Experience in database development and tuning.
Excellent analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong time management and organisational skills.
A strong desire and ability to learn.
Computer Science or related degree.
Knowledge of application and database design.
Experience performing unit testing.
Desirable
Freight / Logistics domain experience.
Experience working with Tailwind CSS.
Exposure to managing gRPC and REST API's.
Knowledge of Jira / Confluence or similar tools highly regarded.
