Job Description
Working as part of our corporate IT teams, you will be in charge of all SGS websites front end developments. You will combine the art of design with the science of programming. Using your proven experience, you will be responsible for the translation of UI/UX design wireframes to actual code.
Primary Responsibilities
Tech lead for Projects
Translate business and IT specifications into detailed design, source code, unit tests and system tests.
Ensure the quality of the development by implementing best practices and good design.
Document the code and features appropriately to facilitate maintenance and knowledge transfer.
Optimize the code to ensure maximum performance and scalability of the applications.
Provide 3rd level support on live applications in collaboration with other team members.
Assist the business in designing webpages based on best practices in UX design.
Specific Responsibilities
Design / advise on technology and architecture for projects in Collaboration with the COE.
Assist the Software Development Manager in defining standards and methodologies to be used.
Participate to the development of reusable components / frameworks, under the supervision of the Software Development Manager.
Provide technical support to other team members when required.
Help manage the team's workload.

Reports all incidents, including near misses and hazards, that may affect the achievement of QHSEE objectives in accordance with SGS Incident Reporting and Management requirements
Efficiently uses all equipment, including safety equipment, and company owned property in the manner intended and reports any damaged / lost equipment to immediate superior
Maintains a safe and tidy worksite according to the organization's 5S program and guidelines
Maintains awareness of the safety and health related hazards and environmental aspects and proposes action plans to control the risks to immediate superior or QHSEE Coordinators
Actively participates in incident investigations and risk assessments as deemed necessary by SGS management
Fulfills the requirements needed in the success of the QHSEE Management System
Recognizes the potential consequences of not following the established policies, procedures, and guidelines, including not fulfilling the organization's compliance obligations
Qualifications
High Level Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related subject
Minimum 7 years of relevant development experience in an international environment
Required
Good understanding of software architecture principles
Strong knowledge of key design patterns
Strong knowledge of Vanilla JavaScript (ES6+)
Strong knowledge of ReactJS (ideally up to version 17)
Strong knowledge of HTML and DOM manipulation
Strong knowledge of CSS and modern layout methodologies (Flexbox , n Grid, CSS variables, media queries)
Strong knowledge and experience in designing database model
Good knowledge of REST webservices
Experience with Responsive, mobile-first approach
Experience with integration in Sitecore CMS and/or other Headless CMS is a plus.
Experience with Figma
Experience with SVGs
Preferred
Knowledge of NodeJS/NPM (Strong asset)
Knowledge on orchestration and containers (K8S, AKS, Docker)
Knowledge on GraphQL is a plus
Experience on AzureDevOps and GIT is a plus
TypeScript (strong asset)
Experience with Storybook
Sitecore JSS (strong asset)
Experience with TDD in JavaScript
Experience with Tailwind CSS and BEM methodology
Good knowledge of WCAG 2.0 Accessibility standards (ARIA tags etc.)
Strong knowledge of the Application Lifecycle Management
Good knowledge in Agile development methodology
Good trouble shooting skills is a must.
