As a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst, you will support QIAGEN's cyber security operations, work with our Security Operations team, Security architects, IT Operations & Cloud Operations to ensure QIAGEN is appropriately protected and monitored.
Assist in cyber events and investigations, including but not limited to security analysis as needed.
Collaborate with the core business partners and operations teams to improve security posture which meets the evolving business needs.
Collaborate and build relationships with key business partners for continued security education and awareness.
Provide guidance, interpretation and education on specific security policies across requesting organizations related to their projects and applications.
Act as subject matter expert and support business and operations teams in all aspects of security requirements, utilizing this knowledge to advise business units and support policy development.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex security issues and apply fundamental systems security principles and understanding, skills, expertise, and experience to support the planning, design, development, and implementation of security controls.
Participation in special projects and workgroups.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a Bachelor's Degree holder
Minimum of 5 years of Security Operations experience & 10 years in general IT
Knowledge of cyber defense & information security policies, procedures, & regulations
Ability to apply cybersecurity and privacy principles to organizational requirements (relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, non-repudiation).
Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, & network security methodologies & hands-on experience in investigating and analyzing, and responding to cyber incidents within the network environment or enclave.
Experience in using data collected from a variety of cyber defense tools (e.g., SIEM, EDR, IDS alerts, firewalls, network traffic logs) to analyze events that occur within their environments for the purposes of mitigating threats.
A self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision and dedicated to deliver results.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills in the English language (both written and verbal).
