Job Description
The successful incumbent will be part of the first line of defense, supporting all aspects of client and investor onboarding to include Know Your Client (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements across a wide spectrum of service offerings, which include Funds & Institutional, Debt, Capital Markets, and Corporate, and Private Wealth.
Tasks
Supervision of Manila team members in supporting the various offices within the Asia Pacific (APAC), including training, and working closely with the onshore teams in ensuring a seamless end-to-end onboarding workflow process aligned with external and internal standards.
You will be able to liaise with the APAC Teams in relation to client and fund investor onboarding to ensure compliance with MAS, SFC, and CIMA AML/CFT regulations.
Additionally, you will perform AML/KYC checks and provide independent recommendations to mitigate the identified risks where necessary, and/or be responsible for escalating the findings to management.
Undertake CDD and EDD in line with internal and external policies, procedures, and guidance according to the jurisdiction or appropriate regulatory notice and/or guidelines.
You will review and ensure the Source of Wealth and Source of Funds of both individual and institutional clients have been met in accordance with IQ-EQ Group standards and local regulatory expectations, which will include collating supporting documents and independent corroboration.
You will work with the Manila team members in the preparation of checklists, screening, reviewing of KYC documents, and providing feedback where necessary.
You will also support the wider internal APAC teams as a guide when there are clarifications or queries on KYC and CDD and ensure all documents are stored as required.
You may also be involved to ensure the implementation of ongoing monitoring which will include periodic review management and timely risk assessments being performed to mitigate risks across the existing client book.
Contribute ideas and participate in transformation and change initiatives to drive continuous improvement to further enhance key deliverables.
Due to the nature of the role, you may also be involved in interactions with clients, investors, and wider internal stakeholders.

Qualifications
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in law, accounting, finance, or equivalent fields
At least 5-7 years of experience in KYC/AML roles, Client Onboarding, AML/CFT Compliance, or related function
Has the flexibility and adaptability to support or directly work on other transformation and change-related initiatives, as may be required
Proficiency in English written and verbal communication
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
Strong MS Office skills (especially Excel)
Professional Certifications in Anti-Money Laundering (such as ICA or ACAMS) is not mandatory but would be an advantage
Previous experience within Financial Services or Fund Administration industry.
