This role is ideal for someone experienced in revenue and expense reconciliation, AP/AR management, month-end closings, and profitability tracking. You'll be responsible for maintaining accurate records, optimizing accounting workflows, and driving process improvements through automation. A detail-oriented, proactive mindset with a solid grasp of US GAAP and remote collaboration is key.Key Responsibilities:Maintain accurate financial records across accounting systemsManage full-cycle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processesReconcile revenue, expenses, and sales tax liabilitiesPerform soft closes within 810 days and finalize solid closes within 15 daysInvestigate and explain budget variances and cost discrepanciesDrive process improvement and automation within bookkeeping operationsEnsure compliance with US GAAP and local accounting standardsCollaborate with operations, finance, and leadership teams for cost tracking and strategyManage project and task tracking in tools like Asana or equivalentSoftware/Platforms/Tools:QuickBooks Online (QBO)XeroFulfil.io or similar ERP platforms (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.)Google SheetsMS ExcelAccounting software toolsProject Management Tools (Asana, Notion, Trello, etc.)Qualifications:At least 35 years of freelancing experience5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping/accounting experienceProven experience managing Accounts Payable and Accounts ReceivableStrong understanding of US GAAP, reconciliation, and variance analysisExperience in financial forecasting, class-tracking, and cost allocationProficient in closing books and preparing audit-ready reportsDetail-oriented, analytical, and capable of independent problem-solvingStrong English communication and collaboration skillsShift Schedule:Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm US PST.
