Role:
The ARC Super User Team supports North America Financial Reporting's existing and future clients in setting up funds and resolving issues within the DFINArc reporting system and will eventually support other regions using the same system.
The team will be part of the Manila Financial Reporting Super User Team which pertains to a team of experts supporting Financial Reporting teams in the completion of deliverables/tasks processed through either Unity (Confluence) or Arc (DFIN) reporting systems.
The end-state goal is to build expertise to have a stronger long-term frame work support in delivering quality service to our internal stakeholders and ultimately, our clients. Scope will include EMEA, NA and APAC locations.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
Provide support and timely resolution for queries raised by Financial Reporting which relate to the build of the books within ARC for example: mapping, rounding , formatting issues
Queries which relate to system wide issues for example: system slowness, slowness in book publication & system unresponsiveness raised via ERM to the BPA team as applicable
Interact and liaise with IT and external vendors DFIN (Donnelley Financial Solutions) to resolve issues in a timely fashion
Analyze Financial Reporting operations procedures, processes, and issues to identify areas for automation to reduce risk and improve efficiency
Review system workflow to evaluate effectiveness and propose changes to improve productivity
Conduct application testing, build test scripts, support client application testing, and collect and summarize test data
Develop test matrices and processes; Lead testing and verification of information processed through software applications as well as new releases, verifying information is correct and reasonable
Produce organized and informative system documentation
Provide support to new business initiatives/on boarding and training
Work closely with regional functional managers in various processes / projects to ensure communication and smooth implementation
Build notes, SOIs and financials on Statement and Holdings Mapper
Serve as Arc reporting system expert for user training
Maintain positive, proactive relationships with stakeholders
Consistently and effectively communicating with management to make sure issues are escalated and resolved
Skills/Qualifications:
The successful candidate will benefit from having:
At least 4 years of financial statement preparation or financial reporting in an Audit Firm, or financial institution; At least 2 years of people management experience for Team Leaders and 7 years overall experience.
Knowledge of accounting and regulatory concepts, financial instruments and products acquired through studies and related work experience
Excellent desktop, IT and systems skills. Experience of Sungard InvestOne fund accounting platform or Confluence/DFINArc Suite financial reporting systems advantageous.
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word essential Knowledge of US GAAP, UK GAAP, Lux GAAP, Swiss GAAP & IFRS through studies and/or work experience (preferred)
Knowledge of related systems: Bloomberg, Reuters (preferred)
Excellent interpersonal skills, as this role requires interaction at all levels of the organisation and externally, fluent English necessary.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is highly desirable
Background in regulatory / statutory reporting will be preferred
Experience on transitions/consolidation of various systems and completing necessary reconciliations (preferred)
Experience on tax and regulatory reporting (preferred)
