The Person:
Completed Accounting Degree and a Certified Public Accountant.
Training/ Seminar on the following is a plus:
Seminar on current pronouncement & development on generally accepted accounting principles.
Seminar on Philippine tax laws especially on local taxation, expanded withholding tax & VAT.
At least five (5) years Finance/Accounting work experience preferably in the Mining Industry - Supervisory experience.
With knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and current pronouncements and developments, knowledge on the 1995 Mining Act and knowledge on Philippine tax laws especially on local taxation expanded withholding tax and VAT.
Familiar or with knowledge on Pronto Enterprise Management System.
The Job:
Provide day to day supervision and coordination of the site finance department with focus on ensuring that the accounting procedures and processes are followed.
Active involvement in the company financial and budget management functions.
Verify that established controls are effective to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of information reported and protection of the assets of the business.
Provide analysis of local taxation requirements to ensure the company's obligations are met.
