IMPORTANT: OPEN TO FILIPINO CITIZENS WHO ARE CURRENTLY RESIDING IN THE PHILIPPINES Position: Senior Accountant Working hours: Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM Dubai time / 1 PM - 10 PM Philippine Time Holiday/s : Dubai and/or PH Holidays Salary Range: $1,000 - 2,000/month About the company: The company an active trading player, focused primarily on originating, structuring, trading, marketing, transporting, and financing crude oil and petroleum product cargos. The company covers all aspects of physical crude, gasoline, condensate, naphtha, gasoil, and jet fuel across all grades, sizes, and geographies. Duties and responsibilities: Responsible for processing/analysis of accounts payable, and accounts receivable, matching purchase orders/sales orders with invoices and supporting documentation, and all intercompany transactions Analyse / reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts on an ongoing basis and for period / year-end closings Responsible for month-end close and ensuring that accounting tasks are completed according to internal (and external) deadlines including, physical transactions and related costs, intercompany physical transactions, and reconciliation of trading PnL to accounting Responsible for the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements, including management reporting, IFRS financial statements, Bank reports, and Budget vs actuals reporting Keep track of overheads, allocate/recharge to different group entities, and prepare monthly G&A analysis Manage the relationship with external auditors and tax administration; as well as prepare documentation for external auditors for annual audits UAE VAT filing preparation and filing Check employee expense reports and arrange settlement Handle/manage office expense payments Other projects as assigned by Management Requirements Has a background in commodity trading environment Understanding of the physical oil trading business is an asset Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related field Good written and verbal communication skills Highly detail-oriented and organized in work Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from the manager Autonomous, proactive, and continuously thinking ahead
