As a Senior Accountant reporting directly to clients, a key member of our client's finance team oversees financial operations, ensures accuracy in financial reporting, and provides strategic financial guidance. The role will play a critical part in the organization's financial success and will involve direct interaction with senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, providing timely responses to inquiries, and addressing their accounting and financial needs.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Customize financial reports to meet the specific needs of individual clients and assist in their decision-making processes.
Manage and lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and adjusting journal entries.
Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, and present actionable recommendations to senior management.
Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors during financial audits and ensure timely completion of audit requirements.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
Experience with US clients is mandatory
Excellent communication skills
Knowledgeable of the basic principles of accounting and general ledger chart of accounts.
Strong technology skills using Microsoft Office 2007 or later (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook at a minimum, more applications preferred).
Ability to multi-task and to work independently with minimal supervision in a matrix supervisory environment.
Ability to work overtime when required during month-end close and special projects.
Experience working in a paperless environment is strongly preferred.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
