We are looking for a dynamic, motivated, and hard-working Finance Team leader. The role will report directly into the Group Finance Controller and will be responsible for overseeing an ever-expanding team of accountants in Manila who support the global business.
As our most senior finance leader in our Manila office, the role will have line management responsibility for the local Accountants and, over time, the Accounts Payable Team, helping to support and develop future finance leaders in Anthesis. Working closely with both the Project Finance Team in Manila and the Group Finance Team in the UK, this role will be a key hire in supporting Anthesis on its growth journey.
Anthesis is a fast paced and growing business, and this role is an exciting opportunity for someone to grow with the business. As controls are not yet fully established across the group, it will require a proactive self-starter who has the ability and desire to drive positive change. The role will also require someone who is happy and comfortable rolling up their sleeves and being in the detail.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the day-to-day activities of the local accountants
Working closely with the NetSuite team to support and optimize other financial accounting processes in the group such as improving our intercompany set up and reconciliation process
Develop strong relationships with the global finance team and support them in maintaining strong controls and accurate financial reporting
Assist in the management of all accounting procedures and systems used by the organization ensuring compliance with internal and International Financial Reporting Standards
Line Manager / Coach for Accountants and Accounts Payable, contributing to training and development where applicable
Supporting in the annual budget process and quarterly forecasts
Preparation of monthly financial reports and forecasts for future business growth including budgets, income statements, balance sheets, tax returns and cashflow reports
Support integration of new acquisitions into our financial reporting processes
Managing our intercompany recharges for our Philippines entity to the regions
Assist with external audit
Requirements:
Qualified accountant with 5 + years of relevant working experience
Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards
Experience of managing and leading a team, including staff development
Experience with Oracle NetSuite is preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word) is essential
Excellent English language written and verbal communication skills
Good interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good time management skills, including the ability to prioritize, plan work to meet deadlines and work under pressure
Proactive and a committed team player
Can work on flexible hours to support global teams in many time zones, meet changing work environment and to meet tight deadlines
