Position Purpose:
This position is integral to the Finance team and encompasses daily accounting and month-end reporting. This is a hands-on, varied role, where you will have exposure to end-to-end accounting processes and will require you to liaise and partner with numerous stakeholders within our organization. Reporting to the Accounting Team Lead your key duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Day-to-day transactional accounting
• Prepare month-end account reconciliations
• Prepare daily and weekly cash summaries/reconciliations
• Prepare indirect tax statements/returns (GST, FBT, payroll tax)
• Undertake ad hoc project work where required
• Ad-hoc analysis as required
• Reconcile corporate credit card statements and staff expense reimbursement claims
• Update and maintain fixed assets register
• Build relationships and partner with key stakeholders within the organization
Requirements
• Strong understanding of accounting in a high transactional environment
• Ability to understand all aspects of a trial balance and month-end cut-off routines such as accruals etc.
• Ability to problem solve and grasp the conceptual aspects of accounting as opposed to just data entry Experience in a multi-currency environment and strong understanding of foreign exchange accounting
• At least 5+ years of relevant work experience
• CPA qualification is preferred
• Must be able to work independently, and able to manage a team when Team Lead is away
• Proficient in MS Dynamics preferred
• Experience working in BPO setup will be an added advantage
