TAG is looking for a Senior Accountant who has experience with balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close. A successful candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years experience ideally in a construction company. The Senior Accountant will serve as an integral part of the accounting team.
Responsibilities and skills:
Responsible for the accounting functions associated with general ledger and sub-ledger maintenance, including account reconciliations, journal entries, transactional analysis, and the systematic maintenance of all financial records.
Assists with the preparation of monthly financial statements and prepares certain month-end journal entries.
Performs a general overview of departmental financial statements documenting the reasons for significant variances between actual and budgeted amounts.
Assists in the preparation of lead sheets for external auditors.
Provides accounting assistance to all departments during the budgeting process.
Investigates discrepancies and other areas of concern regarding financial information and recommends corrective actions.
Works on special accounting projects as assigned.
Provides functional backup for other finance functions as assigned.

Complete tasks accurately and on time
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5-7 years of related work experience.
Recent experience with Great Plains preferred, but not required
Advanced Excel skills
Excellent English communications skills and attention to detail
Bachelors degree or equivalent
