JOB PURPOSE:
Senior Accountant oversees and manages the company's overall Finance operations by making sure that every aspect of the financial operations is compliant to the set standards of the regulatory bodies and the management. This role will help management to make sound financial decisions on all business matters.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads, manages and is accountable for the Philippine finance team.
Ensures the good credit standing of the company by maintaining good relationships and complying with different financial institutions.
Records all financial transactions in a timely manner that may arise from purchases, sales, and other kinds of transactions that may affect the financial report.
Negotiates business deals with suppliers, banks and other institutions that will have an impact on the financial standing of the business.
Prepares and reviews accurate Financial Reports, business plans and other expense-related reports (e.g. cost center reports, payables and reimbursements summary reports, detailed expense sub-ledgers).
Review and recommend improvements to the existing process and accounting practices within the assigned scope. Ensures that these are properly documented, kept up to date, and observed.
Ensures that the company is always compliant with regulatory requirements to all government agencies.
Requirements:
Graduate of bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting
Must be a Certified Public Accountant
Minimum 5 years experience in accounting/finance
Experience with financial reporting requirements
Strong analytical, communication, and spreadsheet skills
Knowledgeable with accounting software preferably Xero
Possesses Ethical behavior
