A Senior Accountant job has become available at a top Australian start-up.
About the Senior Accountant Role:
The Senior Accountant will report directly to a shared services head based in Manila and work closely with a US based Finance Manager and PH based General Manager. You would be expected to handle general accounting, management reporting, and preparation of statutory/tax requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general/management accounting - including month-end reviews and management reporting, providing insights for variances and movements
Provide accounting services such as regional support of AP/AR queries, balance sheet reconciliation, expense analysis
Assist the Shared Services Head in maintenance and monitoring of internal controls and company accounting policies, audit, statutory accounts, and relevant tax requirements
Build strong relationships with the stakeholders, providing them with full support
Contribute to and continuously drive process/system improvements and implementation
To succeed in this role, you must have at least five years of total work experience and with a strong background in the shared services or multinational working environment.
Key Requirements:
CPA is a must
Previous experience in a Big 4 firm is an advantage
At least five years' work experience, and background in a shared services/BPO/multinational environment
Previous experience with US accounting and tax reporting is an advantage
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Professional integrity, good management and organisational skills, strong analytical skills
Flexible and adaptable to constantly evolving environment
