Job Description
Active involvement in establishing and maintaining efficient and accurate accounting records in XERO client files
Preparation of Financial Statements and Australian Tax Returns for Companies, Trusts, Partnerships and Individuals
Preparation of BAS and IAS for all entities
Preparation of quarterly Management Reports for larger clients
Preparation of client workpapers and supporting documents
Perform quarterly closing processes including posting journal entries and account reconciliations for prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and accrued liability accounts.
Work with the international accounting team and support the accounting process for all team members
Working with a team of cloud accountants, accountants and directors to deliver high quality work for clients
Participation in projects relating to process improvement both from a business standpoint and system-related.
Assist in the implementation and documentation of internal control processes and related procedures. Ensure compliance with internal controls.
Perform duties as assigned.
Job Qualification:
This position requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or related field and/or a minimum of five years' experience in accounting or finance.
CPA Preferred
Experience in working with XERO
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Demonstrate the skills and prioritize multiple projects while also meeting goals and cut off dates.
Strong problem solving, planning, quality control, flexibility, and customer service skills
Proven verbal and written communication skills with all levels of management. Effectively communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner
