Position Summary
We are looking for a committed and experienced senior accountant / finance manager to be based in our Philippines office. This position will report to the SEAK & ANZ Controller and will manage the full set of accounting for both statutory audit / tax filing and corporate reporting. The position is also responsible for banking & treasury, internal control and finance projects.
Responsibilities
Accounting
Ensure the financials from US GAAP books are closed accurately by SSC team
Responsible to review the balance sheet reconciliations prepared by SSC team
Ensure proper controls are in place for the payment process; and review to ensure the supplier invoices are accurately, completely & timely processed and distributed by the Share Service Center
Review to ensure the customer invoices are accurately processed against the contracts
Maintain local statutory & tax reporting and reconcile to the US GAAP SAP account
Be the first line of interface to support the external and internal audits
Ensure proper record retention for statutory and tax compliance
Tax
Responsible for tax payment and filing to ensure full compliance of all direct and indirect taxes e.g. corporate income tax ("CIT"), withholding tax ("EWT" & "FWT"), VAT, estimated tax return, etc.
Pricing documentation if necessary
Support various tax audits, prepare relevant audit schedules and work closely with tax function and external tax consultants if any
Others
Maintain cash flow forecast and local banking relationship
Support the global/regional compliance and other projects as required
Provide collaborative support to the business operations
Support company secretarial matters with external & in-house legal counsel
Qualifications / Candidate Attributes
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred
6+ years of finance / accounting and tax experience, preferably with US / EUR MNC'
Good understanding of the Philippines tax compliance regulation and accounting GAAP
Working knowledge of the US GAAP and SOX will be an advantage
Working knowledge of SAP and conversant with Microsoft Office is required
Very hands-on, deadline sensitive & significant attention to detail and ability to work independently is an absolute must
Adaptable to small office environment
Working experience of assisting tax & accounting of other South-East Asia entities will be a plus
Good oral and written communication skills in English
