Job Descriptions
Ensure appropriate system is in place to account for incoming/outgoing currencies.
Monthly processing of accruals and adjustments, bookkeeping chores.
Preparation of monthly bank reconciliation.
Assist with the preparation and monitoring of budget, comparing actual expenditures versus budget.
Monitoring of Petty Cash, investments, monitoring and reviewing the recorded business transactions.
Preparation of the individual and consolidated Financial Reports for the annual audit, the quarterly reports for tax (BIR) purposes, and the annual Financial Report to be sent to Rome.
Maintain and regular updating of financial records and creating back-ups.
Review the work of accounting personnel and provide assistance/guidance to the staff and affiliated communities for any accounting matter/inquiries that may arise.
Documenting and monitoring accounting policies and provides suggestions for improvements to strengthen the internal control.
Liaise with accountants/bookkeepers to produce financial reports.
Performing variance analyses and preparing account reconciliations.
Making recommendations based on analysis and status of reserves, assets and expenditures
Other management reports as maybe requested by the Bursar or the Superior.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, preferably CPA but not required
Minimum of 5 years experience in General Accounting in a supervisory role, with basic knowledge in PFRS reporting
Familiarity with accounting software and programs (Quickbooks)
Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and Word.
Keen attention to details, superior analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Filipino and English
Ability to direct and supervise accounting staff
Has high regard for confidentiality
Highly detail-oriented and organized
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees
Ability to meet deadlines
