As a Senior Accountant at SMBC Marketing Solutions Inc., you will play a crucial role in managing our financial processes and ensuring accuracy and compliance. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proven track record in accounting/finance. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Accounting Managers and COO, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Your tasks:
Prepare financial reports, perform research and analysis, maintain the general ledger, perform account reconciliations, and carry out other accounting duties as may be required.
Coordinate accounting functions and concerns.
Prepare financial analysis and reports.
Prepare the COGS analysis.
Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
Assist with annual audit preparations.
Handle checking and audit of company books and finalize Financial Reports on a monthly basis.
Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
Review and manage accounts payable.
Prepare for payroll processing.
Perform other accounting duties and support junior staff as required or assigned.
Your qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or related field
3+ years of relevant work experience
Proficiency in Excel and Excel formulas (Pivot and Vlookup)
Knowledge in using Quickbooks and other Accounting Softwares
Excellent communication skills
Attention to detail and deadline-oriented.
Accuracy and efficiency are a must.
Ability to improve current work process, and make suggestions.
Strong organizational and stress management skills
Experience in filing US Taxes is a plus factor.
Must have payroll processing experience
Can work in US time. (Central Standard/Daylight time)
Able to work effectively with other team members.
Ability to do Audits for various companies as well as the ability to present findings and solutions.
Knowledge in GAAP
Technical Requirements:
Must have own computer with minimum specs to perform the job functions, preferably i5 or higher.
Must have own fast and reliable internet connection and back up.
Employment Type: Full-time
Work hours: 8 hours per day, 8:00 AM to 05:00 PM Central Time (actual work hours may vary)
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
Rest Days: Saturday and Sunday
Work Set-up: Remote
Start Date: Immediately (ASAP)
