Job Title: Senior Accountant (US)
Work Setup & Schedule:
Hybrid (Mon-Fri, 9PM to 6AM)
What you'll be doing:
Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
Prepare and analyze accounting reports, summarizing financial status
Provide technical support and advice on management accounting
Review, recommend, and implement modifications to accounting systems and procedures
Manage junior accounting staff
Participate in financial standards setting and forecasting processes
Contribute to goal-setting for the accounting department
Prepare financial statements and budgets on schedule
Lead tax filing processes, including preparation and submission of federal, state, and local tax documents
Coordinate with tax auditors and advisors for tax audits and returns
Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
Oversee month-end and year-end close processes
Ensure adherence to GAAP principles
Collaborate with Financial and Accounting Managers to enhance financial procedures
What will make you a great fit:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field; CPA or EA preferred
Significant experience in tax preparation and filing
A minimum of five (5) years' proven experience working within Finance.
Proven experience as a financial controller, accounting supervisor, chief or senior accountant
In-depth knowledge of accounting procedures and GAAP
Proficiency in financial accounting statements
Expertise in general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close process
Experience with accounting software (e.g., FreshBooks, QuickBooks)
Advanced skills in MS Excel (Vlookups, pivot tables)
Detail-oriented with strong quantitative skills
