Senior Accountant - usEpic Healthcare Staffing Shared Services, Inc.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support Government Controller with month-end and year-end closing tasks
- Prepare monthly and ad hoc journal entries
- Prepare various general ledger account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial statements
- Assist and prepare items needed in conjunction with annual financial audit
- Support the Government Controller as needed for preparation of monthly financials, annual budget, and quarterly reforecast.
- Ensure accounting transactions are in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Federal Acquisition Regulations, and Defense Contract Auditing Agency (DCAA)
- Support Government Office Manager in the entry of accounts payable invoices
- Responsible for processing all vendor payments
- Managing the updating of individual project budgets on an as needed, but no less than quarterly, basis
- Assist in developing and maintaining adequate processes and procedures for the accounting functions
- Work closely with other members of the Epic Government and Epic Corporate team to assist as needed with various monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements, such as Workers' Comp, 401(k) Audit, and Tax Reporting Requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience with Government Contracting accounting
- Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years' experience in accounting
- Public accounting and/or CPA preferred
- Advanced MS Excel skills including vlookups and pivot tables
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
- Must be able to effectively prioritize work to meet deadlines while handling multiple tasks
- Payroll and expense report experience is a plus
- Experience with NetSuite and/or Daston is a plus
