Role/Department Description :
This role sits within the Record to Report team in FactSet. It specifically looks after financial recording for the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Dubai and South Africa entities and will support the UK R2R team. The role covers booking and reviewing costs incurred by the business, booking Cash Activity, and preparing month end close journal entries. This position assists in a day-to-day accounting as well as assisting in preparation of financial reports, costing & reconciliations. The person will be familiar with local accounting provisions, direct and indirect tax matters.
Job Requirements:
Good understanding of Debits and Credits, Balance sheet and Profit and Loss account For accurate accounting records
Experience in handling Financial systems and Purchasing-understanding how different systems work and how to resolve issues To be confident in using Financial systems
Experience with multi-currency accounting FactSet is a multi-currency global business
Strong verbal and written communication skills Clearly/concisely communicate issues to all levels of employees
Strong understanding of accounting rules and regulations oo ensure we are compliant in all financial reporting areas
Ability to prioritise and organise a varying workload to appropriately manage tight deadlines
Strong problem solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve issues timeously
Willing to work UK hours
Responsibilities:
Provide support in maintaining the general ledger accounts by recording noncomplex transactions. Cash transactions etc..
Preparing balance sheet reconciliations
Performing noncomplex month end close process tasks
Subledgers (AP, FA, Prepaid) processing and reconciliation
