We specialize in accounting, taxation and corporate services and the Senior Tax Accountant role involves preparing documents and providing advice to clients regarding business accounting and tax planning. The details of the duties expected in this role are as the following:
Preparing financial reports, Tax Returns for different entity structures such as Sole traders, Partnerships, Trusts, SMSFs and companies.
Preparing BAS/IAS/FBT/Group Certificates/Subcontractor reports, etc.
Entering bank statements and year end journal entries into MYOB, HandiSoft, Xero, QuickBooks, etc.
Creating and returning statements and documents to clients by set deadlines.
Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and other regulatory bodies when required.
Preparing business income tax returns and statements for audits.
Assisting in Tax planning; • Identifying areas where clients and businesses can improve and increase profitability.
Possessing strong knowledge of tax law and statutory regulations.
Providing financial and taxation advice on business structures, tax planning, performance, and operations.
Requirements
CA or CPA Qualifications highly regarded or working towards completion.
Minimum 4 years of experience in taxation, preferably in public practice firm.
Detailed understanding and knowledge of tax and compliance accounting is necessary.
Detailed understanding and knowledge of corporate structures and processes.
Self-motivated and willingness to lead the accounting team.
Positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
High attention to detail and solutions oriented.
High level numerical skills required
Detailed understanding of taxation laws, accounting standards, regulations and governance requirements.
