Overview
CHAMP Cargosystems, a global leader in innovative IT logistics solutions for the air cargo industry, is seeking a Senior Accountant, Financial Control to join our team in Manila, Philippines.
As part of the Finance Department and reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play an
important role in planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysing and controlling revenue and costs for the CHAMP Cargosystems global group. You will prepare financial reporting for all levels of group
management. Additionally, you will be involved in contributing to special projects as needed.
Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual reports for the group Executive
Committee and for Business Unit and Cost Centre Managers.
Perform financial and accounting data analysis for internal Business Units
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and management team
Assist in the implementation of financial controls and processes
Prepare and/or review analyses for input to the forecasting and budgeting processes.
Conduct financial performance evaluations, identify trends, and provide actionable insights on
actuals vs budget / forecast & prior year
Conduct project financial appraisal and control
Provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Solid understanding of financial principles, accounting standards
Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Proactive mindset and ability to work independently
Proficient in Excel, knowledge of SAP is considered advantageously
Education and Experience:
Relevant degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance
Previous professional experience of at least 5 years in financial planning & analysis / controlling
