POSITION SUMMARY:
Manage marketing programs for our internal Sales Organization and external Travel Partner Community. The Sales organization includes Field Sales, Inside Sales and National Accounts. The position is viewed in the department as the product marketing expert for all brand and product announcements. As the Senior Account Executive, this position serves as the Project Manager for all marketing development for the special events team as well as major brand activations through the sales lens. Coordinates with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, Product Development and Hotel Operations to manage the development of creative, communicate updates, and flow of projects. Responsible for ensuring accuracy and consistency of brand messaging in all sales channels, with the goal of generating leads, sales and brand awareness amongst the travel partner industry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops comprehensive, multidimensional marketing campaigns to drive maximum demand and sales, while ensuring the brand is represented appropriately through all Co-Op Marketing, inclusive of email, direct mail, advertisements, television/radio spots, or Out-Of-Home placements.
Develops Go to Market programs that complement major brand and product launches: ship launches, brand campaigns and brand/policy announcements.
Retail Lead: Our promotional landscape consists of anywhere from 5-8 promotions per month. With the ever-changing environment, this role acts as the team lead to ensure all retail material is assigned to the appropriate team members, develops, and distributes to sales team in a timely manner. Works with revenue and our commercial planning team to develop the strategy behind each retail campaign.
Fully responsible for all print marketing materials, inclusive of brochures, selling guides and gatefolds. The role is responsible for the strategic and creative development, production, systematic loading, and the vendor relationships included. They then oversee the usage metrics, inventory status and approvals, as well budget optimization recommendations.
Develops annual print and digital trade media calendar, and is responsible for negotiating rates, developing creative strategy, and trafficking all assets to our media partners in a timely manner. This includes trade advertisements, website takeovers, digital banners, newsletters, and unique digital activations to drive brand awareness and booking behavior.
Responsible for all aspects of trade communication, inclusive but not limited to email marketing, website development, social media, advertisements, co-op efforts, and more.
Special Projects lead: Serves as creative liaison for all major special event activations, inaugurals ship launches and brand activations. Lead creative briefing with internal creative agency, own approval process of materials and provide all print ready files for execution onboard.
Ensures consistency and alignment of copy and imagery in all marketing programs across the sales organization as well as retail and online travel partner locations.
Analyzes booking behavior and need product strategy to ultimately develop and execute sales incentives, and/or trade contests.
Compile information and communication plans of the various Sales teams to provide up-to-date status of all sales activities and efforts to support a campaign.
Responsible for upload, maintenance and creative direction on various websites our team content manages, including but not limited to Loyaltoyoualways.com, Salesforce and CruisingPower.com
Act as team lead for any creative direction and strategic support and acts as the right hand to the manager of the team.
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist Manager, Senior Manager and Director with budgeting as needed on a project basis. Responsible for the trade media budget and ultimate split between print and digital approach.
QUALIFICATIONS:
BA/BS degree from an accredited college required, Sales, Advertising, Marketing or Business focus
Three to five years experience in promotional/marketing programs.
Proficiency in PC and Mac environments a must, including use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary
Experience in managing multiple tasks and projects at once
Strong customer service skills
Cruise industry experiences and/or creative agency experience a plus
Knowledge of InDesign a plus
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Must be resourceful with a "yes, we'll make it happen" attitude
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment & adaptable to a constantly changing environment
Ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to solve practical problems & deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
