We are looking for a Tax Analyst to oversee tax function in Southeast Asia. Based in Manila, Philippines, you will work directly with the Tax Director in the region to oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance process and ensure WeWork remains compliant with all Direct and Indirect Taxes. This position is also responsible for tax accounting analyses/determinations and project support on tax issues. You will balance multiple priorities and interact with various operating groups within the organization. The ideal candidate has experience managing tax compliance in SEA, is a quick learner and able to balance multiple priorities.
Responsibilities:
● Responsible for planning and compliance for VAT, Corporate Income tax, withholding taxes and local levies;
● Ensure all the tax payments are made on timely basis & booked in ERP system
● Maintain all the required documents e.g. Official receipts, Tax invoices etc.to substantiate tax credits claimed in the return
● Work on the process improvements and documentation requirements for the region.
● Providing all the corporate tax return related information request to tax consultants by liaising with Stat accounting/Finance team.
● Ensures WHT on cross border or domestic transaction are applied correctly included Intercompany payments & ensures WHT certificates are sent to vendors on timely basis.
● Reconcile all the tax related accounts & ensure it matches with the tax returns.
● Provide tax audit support for the respective companies at the time of tax audit or inquiries;
Qualifications:
● 3-4 years of tax experience
● Big 4 and large multi-national in-house tax department experience preferred
● Familiarity with tax laws, tax treaties, tax withholding, and financing structures
● Work independently with strong problem solving and analytical skills and have ability to recognize and recommend solutions
● Ability to build strong collaborative working relationships, internally and externally
