SDC Development Manager
The SDC Development team, within the Global Development Center, is responsible for the SAP development strategy and lifecycle at JTI. The team leads development and maintenance of SAP development methodology, standards and procedures and ensures technical standards are respected and maintained.
As the Development Manager you are responsible, both in projects and in production support, for:
- understanding Functional Specifications documents with the business requirements,
- researching and proposing technical solutions to address business needs,
- writing Technical Specifications based on the requirements,
- implementing via coding into SAP systems, robust and reliable solutions, always observing JTI SAP Development policies and standards,
- unit testing their own code to ensure it works properly.
You will work in close coordination with BTS, SAP Security, GSD, SAP Basis, Enterprise Architecture and other IT teams.
What will you do?
1) To manage all aspects related to SAP Developments (ABAP and non-ABAP objects) for assigned area (Finance), including:
ABAP programming and testing based on the latest SAP technologies, including Object Oriented programming, Fiori, Adobe forms, Enhancement's framework.
Helping process teams with analysis, estimations and functional specs writing, assisting with data cleansing and conversions.
Writing technical specs.
Coordinating off-site developments and analysing 3rd party code.
2) Work closely with BTS (functional team) and Global Support Desk on maintenance and post go-live production support:
Assist in identifying causes of issues and fix programming errors and bugs.
Develop additional functionality to existing objects in compliance with JTI Change Control procedures, J-SOX requirements, and development standards.
Code review and Quality assurance.
Perform Unit Testing in assigned area.
Who are we looking for?
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Engineering, Physics or Mathematics.
Overall experience in the IT discipline for at least 5 years
Experience in a multi-national environment with exposure to systems implementation and maintenance for at least 3 years
Strong Object Oriented ABAP knowledge for at least 5 years
Experience in implementation projects for at least 3 years
Experience in S4/HANA environments, at least 3 years
Written and oral communication skill in English, professional working proficiency.
Excellent skills in SAP development environment
