SAP ABAP Development Analyst
The SDC Development team, within the Global Development Center, is responsible for the SAP development strategy and lifecycle at JTI. The team leads development and maintenance of SAP development methodology, standards and procedures and ensures technical standards are respected and maintained. Within this team, the SDC Development Manager is responsible for managing all aspects related to SAP and non-SAP Developments including helping process teams with functional specs writing, writing technical specs, coordinating off-site developments, design and implementing integrations. The SDC Development Analyst assists in developing detailed project plans for the area under responsibility, preparing status updates and providing the input on the overall project planning. He/she provides full time IT application expertise to process teams in support of interfaces and scripts, and advises BTS, power users and local IT on SAP technical issues in the assigned functional area.
What will you do?
Manage all aspects related to Data Integration, including activities in ABAP side related with this topic (ABAP CDS creation, Function modules check, review tables)
Determine the most suitable solution to Integrate systems in the Data and Integration scope
Manage developments with on-site and off-site teams, programming and testing. Writing Functional and Technical documentation to cover new requirements and procedures.
Work closely with BTS and Global Support Desk on maintenance and post go-live production support:
Assist in identifying causes of issues and fix programming errors and bugs
Develop additional functionality to existing objects in compliance with JTI Change Control procedures, J-SOX requirements and development standards
Perform Unit Testing in assigned area:
Identify and develop all relevant testing scripts in order to ensure all possible business scenarios are covered.
Conduct and lead testing sessions
Work closely with SAP Enterprise Architecture Team and SAP GTC Basis Team, in order to discover and provide the best solution according with the standards of JTI, considering Security, performance and quality aspects.
Participate and organize Proof of Concepts, develop documentation and proposals to improve existent solutions, more adapated to current tecnologies in the market.
Who are we looking for?
Bachelor's in IT or equivalent
Knowledge of new ABAP Syntax 7.5 (required)
ABAP-CDS knowledge (required)
1+ year in multi-national environment with exposure to systems implementation and maintenance. Experience in the conception and the management of applications in assigned functional area, 2+ years experience in implementing/ developing ABAP solutions
Knowledge in ETL flows (SAP DS or CI-DS preferred but not required)
Basic knowledge of different alternatives of integrations like SAP Data Service, CPI-DS, API Manager.
Managing developments with on-site and off-site teams, programming and testing, writing Functional and Technical documentation to cover new requirements and procedures.
Fluent written and verbal English communication skills.
API and webservices knowledge (nice to have)
