Responsibilities:
• Manage customer sales tax exemptions
• Review and manage sales tax filing
• Reconcile sales tax liabilities
• Manage customer credit applications
• Auditing and filing of sales and use tax returns for US & Canadian operations
• Review exemption certificates for existing customers on file for possible renewals
• Review/audit support documentation for new customer setup
• Provide support for other special projects (e.g. tax audits
• Assist with implementation of system/process improvements
Requirements:
• Graduate of Accountancy or other related courses
• At least 2-3 years experience in Sales and Use Tax for US and Canada
• Prior experience in supporting US based clients
• Strong accounting foundation and solid knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
• Knowledgeable in accounting software/ERP and reporting tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills - must be able to communicate fluently in English both verbally and in writing
• Experience in a multi-currency and multi-company global environment preferred
• Ability to interact and be a team player with all levels of employees and senior management
• Conversant in IFRS and US GAAP
• Willing to work US hours/Night Shift
• Willing to work in Muntinlupa City once work in office resumes
