Accountable for the safety, health, and environment performance of various sites/units through the implementation of Nestlé Corporate Business Principle and the supporting policy on safety and health at work.
Provides functional leadership for all aspects of safety and health for all activities of the site/unit.
Promotes Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) values and creates ownership and engagement at all levels
Leads a network of Safety, Health, and Environment Professionals, Champions and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and guides provision for safety and health service
Creates a compelling understanding of the Nestlé SHE values and inspires stakeholders to excel in compliance and continuously improve
Promotes a behavioural approach to SHE, based on Nestlé Leadership Framework.
Identifies SHE priorities, current, and future challenges, and opportunities for change at site/unit level.
Develops a holistic strategy and implementation plan, aligned with Market priorities and objectives, and with the overall site/unit.
Ensures local Safety, Health, and Environment Management system is certified to ISO 45001-2018 and ISO 14001-2015.
Ensures training and coaching is provided to managers and team leaders to help them take ownership, and leads and manages SHE within their area of responsibility.
Provides personal coaching and support to Site/Unit Management Team.
Develops and coordinates SHE networks of professionals, champions, and SMEs for the site/unit.
Develops their functional and leadership competencies and ensure robust succession plans for key SHE positions.
Ensures managers receive trusted guidance & support on relevant SHE matters. Identifies expertise and good practices from inside and outside Nestlé and communicate them internally (both within the site/unit and beyond).
Coordinates with internal and external resources to ensure delivery of high quality and efficient SHE support, eg exposure monitoring, health promotion, health surveillance, training.
Leverages tools to monitor and analyze performance and improve decision making.
Ensures compliance is regularly audited, performance assessed, and the results are used to drive further improvement.
Promotes effective communication of successes and learnings, and recognition for strong performers and contributors.
Engages with external stakeholders (local regulators, local communities, and local NGOs) on SHE topics to build long term, positive relationships. Participate in external forums to benchmark with other companies, and share Nestlé practices.
